Devilish Wooden Figure

Together with Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson, Alexander Girard was one of the leading figures of postwar American design. The decorative Wooden Dolls, designed and made by Girard for his own home in Santa Fe, were likewise inspired by his extensive personal collection of folk art. Part decorative object, part toy, the Wooden Dolls are based on originals from the Girard estate in the holdings of the Vitra Design Museum. Vitra restores these accessories again for several years now. The wooden dolls are processed by hand and pose a charming addition to any interior.

Hand-painted Fir Wood

Whether as a toy for children or an eye-catcher on the sideboard in the living room - the stylish wooden figure attracts everyone's attention and creates a little smile on every viewers’ face. The Fiery Devil - acting cute rather than evil - is made of solid fir wood and hand-painted, making the figure a high-quality design object. Delivered in a high-quality wooden gift box, including brochure, the Vitra figure is a charming gift for collectors and enthusiasts.
