Mobile - An abstract interplay
The Mobile Counterpoint was designed in the family business Flensted Mobiles by Ole, Christine Kit and Aase Flensted. The musical term 'Counterpoint' is defined as 'the combination of two or more independent melodies into a single piece of harmonic music in which each retains its linear character'. The mobile is thus emblematic of family collaboration at Flensted Mobiles and symbolises creative togetherness.
Mobiles embody in a unique way the play between air, material, colours and shapes. Not only children are fascinated by the play of dynamics. Observing the gentle and sensual movements also has a calming effect on adults and offers scope for new ideas and creativity.
The Kontrapunkt Mobile is available in two versions - with black or natural-coloured wooden balls.
