The Woody sideboard from Hay is the little brother of the Woody shelf. It has the same design and qualities as the shelf, only in the dimensions of a chest of drawers.
Woody Is the modern interpretation of the shelving system inspired by a traditional ladder. With no obvious front or back, it is just as suitable as a freestanding piece of furniture as it is when placed against a wall. In doing so, Hay's furniture follows the idea that shelves and sideboards should not be too visually dominant, leaving space for the objects that are placed inside.
Woody Clearly carries the spirit of modernity. It does not use superfluous frills, and the details of construction are not hidden. Hay sideboard is made entirely of oak wood, wooden rods, steel and screws. The treated oak gives the shelf a traditional Scandinavian expression, which is renewed and contrasted by the steel shelf inserts.
This creates a beautiful combination of tradition and modernity, of simplicity, modernity and playfulness. Typical of the Danish design company Hay and its exclusive collection - because the fact that contemporary Scandinavian designers can revive the tradition of the fifties and sixties is one of the beliefs of Rolf Hay, who entered the market with his company in 2003 and quickly established it.
Please note that Woody can not be subsequently expanded. The available shelves and sideboards are each self-contained systems.
