Floating Table
Actually it's not even there... And precisely for that reason a real eye-catcher. Designer John Brauer created a side table with a high surprise factor for the Danish company Essey - whose name means "essential" in German - that forces the viewer to look twice. Made of acrylic glass, the invisible object gives the impression of a tablecloth floating in the air. And the table it is supposed to cover seems to have disappeared completely and miraculously.
Inspired by tablecloths
Designer John Bauer saw round tables with white tablecloths in a café. The square cloths almost touched the floor. Out of this inspiration, he designed the Illusion table and its big brother Grand Illusion .
As a side table or coffee table
The transparent table is manufactured in two different sizes. As a side table it can Illusion placed next to the sofa, in the hallway or in an empty corner. The larger coffee table, Grand Illusion , becomes an eye-catcher in the living room in front of the sofa and brings a lightness into the room through its transparency.
Each Illusion -table is made by hand and is unique.
