The design icon among the side tables
Among the classics, this is arguably the classic. Its ingeniously proportioned, distinctive shape has made the height-adjustable table one of the most popular design icons of the 20. century. It is named after the summer house E 1027 "Maison en bord de mer", which Eileen Gray built for herself and her collaborator Jean Badovici. The mysterious code name also comes from her: E stands for Eileen, 10 for Jean (J is the 10. letter of the alphabet), 2 for B(adovici) and 7 for G(ray).
The height-adjustable frame of the side table is made of chromed tubular steel. The classic version has a clear crystal glass top. Furthermore, the Adjustable Table is also available with a grey Parsol glass top or a black lacquered metal top.
