Open shelf made of oak and steel

Woody is the name of the modern interpretation of the shelving system inspired by a traditional ladder. With no obvious front or back, it is just as suitable as a freestanding piece of furniture as it is when placed against a wall. It follows the idea that a shelf should not be too visually dominant - so that there is space for the objects that are placed in it.

Woody clearly carries the spirit of modernity. It does not use superfluous elements, and the details of the construction are not hidden. The shelf is made exclusively of oak wood, wooden rods, steel and screws. The treated oak gives the shelf a traditional Scandinavian expression, which is renewed and contrasted by the steel shelf inserts.

This creates a beautiful combination of tradition and modernity, of simplicity, modernity and playfulness. Typical of the Danish design company Hay and its exclusive collection - Because the fact that contemporary Scandinavian designers can revive the tradition of the fifties and sixties is one of the beliefs of Rolf Hay, who entered the market with his company in 2003 and quickly established it.

Please note that the Woody shelves cannot be extended at a later date. The available shelves are each self-contained systems.
