Classic shelf by Paul McCobb
The Planner shelf by Fritz Hansen combines graphic aesthetics with an elegant expression. Designed in 1949 by Paul McCobb, a pioneer of contemporary design, the timeless design breathes new life into the multifunctional appearance and combines classic forms with modernity in a special way.
The Bauhaus-inspired shelf consists of a powder-coated steel frame with a matt finish. Joints are hand-welded and slightly rounded to create a soft impression. Bars arranged diagonally provide additional support and convey the impression of dynamism. The shelves are made of oak wood with bevelled edges to fit seamlessly into the frame.
Named for its ability to help shape the appearance of a room, this simple yet striking shelf is available in three versions, each available in different heights and configurations.
