Classic stool made of wickerwork and bentwood
The 214 RH stool by the Thonet brothers from 1800 for Thonet . In this classic bar stool, bentwood meets wickerwork. The legs of the stool are made from beech wood using traditional bending techniques, while a ring of wickerwork gives the bar stool additional stability and acts as a footrest for greater seating comfort. The round seat is available as a supple hollow seat. The robust wood makes the stool an everyday and sociable companion, whether at home or in a restaurant.
Brothers Thonet
In 1853, the sons of Michael Thonet - Franz, Michael jun., August, Josef and Jakob - joined the company Gebrüder Thonet in Vienna. After the death of their father in 1871, they took over the management of the company together. They were significantly involved in the development of new machines and work processes and presented a large number of further developments as well as constantly new furniture designs. At the end of the 1 9. and beginning of the 20. century, the third generation of the family joined the company: Karl, Julius, Theodor, Alfred, Victor and Richard. During their time at the company, they also designed a large number of new furniture and products.
