Office chair with ergonomic seat shell
The S 220 DRW swivel chair with castors from Thonet , designed by Sam Hecht and Kim Colin (Industrial Facility), reinterprets the traditional design repertoire of the famous bentwood chairs 214 and 209 in an innovative way. With an ergonomic molded wood seat shell on a lightweight tubular steel frame, this stackable chair offers a perfect combination of comfort, functionality and aesthetics. The organic shape of the shell embraces the user in a comfortable and supportive way, while the elegant waist of the chair allows for comfortable swaying. Particularly noteworthy is the flowing rounded front edge of the seat shell, also known as the "waterfall edge", which not only increases seating comfort but also creates a harmonious connection between material quality and aesthetics. This ingenious design avoids pressure points and integrates seamlessly into the radii of the tubular steel base frame. Available in different types of wood and colors as well as with optional bentwood armrests, the S 220 DRW swivel chair is a versatile piece of furniture for both private and commercial use.
