Armchair with high backrest
The Elephant Lounge Armchair from Norr11 , designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, is a modern interpretation of Scandinavian minimalism combined with Japanese aesthetics. The design is inspired by Danish upholstered chairs from the 1950s. The result is a light and elegant armchair where the backrest gently curves around the body like the ear of an elephant, providing maximum comfort.

The Elephant Lounge armchair is handcrafted from solid oak wood. The armchair is available in different frame variations and can be upholstered in leather, fabric and sheepskin.
The seat and back are made from high quality, compression molded oak veneer shells. The two shells are pressed in the same mould and surround the body in a gentle, soft curve. The legs hold the two shells together with no visible joints. Elegant and simple, but robust without appearing bulky, the Elephant Lounge chair blends well into any ambience and provides a high level of seating comfort.
