Organically shaped lounge chair with a feeling of hygge
The Hyg Lounge Chair by Normann Copenhagen convinces by its organic form and the special calmness the chair radiates. It is part of the Hyg series by Simon Legald, for which the designer was inspired by the Danish Hygge attitude to life.
Hygge that is something that cannot be translated but only felt. Hygge is the feeling of a cup of hot tea on a cold day or a good chat with an old friend on a warm summer night. Hygge is all about letting yourself go and consciously integrating warmth and cosiness into your everyday life. With Hyg, Simon Legald has designed an exclusive series in which gentle lines and enveloping contours create an intimate and cosy space.
"My source of inspiration for Hyg was to create a space within a space that gives a feeling of peace and security, but with a playful, free design expression," explains Simon Legald.
Four-star frame for turning and tilting
The armchair in the aluminium version consists of a filigree four-star frame for turning made of aluminium. The armchair also has an optional tilt function. Moulded PU foam ensures the stability and comfort of the seat shell and the cover is available in various materials and colours. The high backrest of the High version is ideal for stabilizing the neck, while the low backrest of the Low version fits better into small rooms. The innumerable design possibilities make the lounge chair an individual piece of furniture that fits perfectly into its surroundings.
The chair looks great as a reading chair in the living room or in a stylish hotel lobby. The armchair also harmonises very well with the other furniture from the Hyg series.
