Chair with woven seat
Betty TK1 is a stackable chair from & Tradition which is characterized by its simple form and special details. The chair highlights the woven linen seat, which normally remains hidden under upholstery. The designers Jakob Thau & Sami Kallio, both trained carpenters with a master's degree in design, have set themselves the task of creating seating that blends into any room and is comfortable at the same time.
"The fabric design means that the chair is not only lightweight, but also has an airy, almost transparent presence. On the other hand, it is strong and flexible, as the fabric adapts to the body." Sami Kallio
Hand-woven fabric
The woven straps made of linen fibers are woven by hand and perfectly adapted to the chair frame. Rounded chair legs and a slightly curved backrest complete the design and ensure a harmonious overall appearance. The chair owes its name to the Betty Nansen Theater in Copenhagen, a wooden pavilion built in 185 7.
The chair is available Betty TK1 chair from & Tradition in various colors, which can also be perfectly combined at the dining table.
