The S 33 cantilever chair from Thonet is the first cantilever chair in furniture history. It was first introduced and used by Mart Stam in 1927 at the Weissenhof Estate in Stuttgart. With the then innovative concept of a chair no longer based on four legs, the S 33 cantilever chair is a part of design history and a classic design that has lost none of its charm to this day.
At the same time, in addition to its reduced aesthetic benefits, the S 33 chair also impresses with its comfortable, springy effect.
The versatility of the tubular steel classic is also expressed in the choice of materials. Thus, the steel frame is covered with leather or fabric in different colors and finishes also for outdoor use ( Thonet All Seasons ).
After the S 33 followed the model Thonet S 34 - the tubular steel cantilever chair with armrests.
