Combination of molded wood and tubular steel frame
The S 243 chair combines a tubular steel frame with molded wood for the seat and back and has a minimalist yet elegant aesthetic. Designed by Frank Rettenbacher, the chair is characterized by its lightweight, stackable construction, which is ideally suited to modern living and working environments. The clear design distinguishes between the rear, stronger legs with a diameter of 25 mm and the front, slimmer legs with 18 mm, which run visibly from the front to the connection with the rear legs and give the chair a special lightness.
