Modern chair in classic form
The 118 M by Sebastian Herkner Thonet is a modern chair, which reminds in its form of the classic bentwood chairs by Thonet and with its subtle elegance is an eye-catcher at every dining table. Another source of inspiration for Sebastian Herkner was the "Frankfurter Stuhl" (Frankfurt Chair), which was developed in the 1930s and was used for a long time as a universal chair. Herkner likes to refer to his new design for Thonet the "Offenbach Chair" in reference to his home town.
Curved seat frame with recessed seat
The timeless 118 M chair refers to the 214 bentwood chair in the shape of its curved seat frame. The chair gets new elements through its legs. Rounded at the back, slight edges at the front of the legs cause a certain break, which makes the chair special. Refined details give the 118 M chair a less dominant appearance and make it more distinguished at the same time. This makes it versatile and allows it to be integrated into a wide variety of room situations - within your own four walls and in public areas.
The 118 M is available in natural beech, as well as in lacquered and stained versions. As an option, the 118 M is also available with a seat with Viennese wickerwork.
