Artificial intelligence chair
The AI chair by Kartell attracted all eyes at the Milan Furniture Fair 2019. Although the chair is identified as a design by Philippe Starck, an artificial intelligence is responsible for the design, as the name AI - "Artificial Intelligence" suggests. Starck worked for two years with the 3D software company Autodesk on a chair that had to meet the requirements of as little material and maximum stability as possible. Bodies and materials were analysed again and again in order to achieve the best possible result. The result is a chair that appears organic and bears the signature of designer Philippe Starck.
The chair is made of thermoplastic polymer in various colours.
