Wicker basket as storage space
The Willow Bank von OK Design is a stylish combination of seating and practical storage. The bench was designed by Morten Husum Nielsen, who cleverly combines modern and traditional elements to create a piece of furniture that is both functional and aesthetic.
Bank and safekeeping in one
While the frame is made of powder-coated metal, exudes a certain industrial charm and could not be simpler, the body is a real wickerwork: the wicker basket is made in the south-eastern regions of Poland, where basket weaving is still practiced by hand and the conditions for cutting willow are ideal. With an ash veneer lid, the wicker basket can be used as an excellent storage space, for example to store blankets, clothes or toys, and at the same time the wooden top serves as a seat for a short stay.
Basket bench for fur and bath
The materials used harmonized perfectly with each other despite their different characteristics and fit into any ambience. For example, the bench can be placed in the hallway, where the basket serves as storage for gloves, hats and umbrellas, and at the same time helps to comfortably put on shoes while seated. But also in the bathroom, the Willow bench cuts a good figure and stows away towels as well as bathrobes inconspicuously, but within easy reach. The Willow bench is available in different frame colours.
