" Egg Chair ": Security and privacy

The Egg Chair by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen impresses with its inviting appearance. Arne Jacobsen designed the Egg for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1958. Since then, this originally shaped chair has become synonymous with Danish furniture design all over the world.

The special thing about the so-called " Egg Chair " from Fritz Hansen is its shape, which is reminiscent of an egg shell thanks to its curved lines. This makes the Egg Chair invites you to sit comfortably and shields the seated person to the sides and back. The backrest is also curved at the top, reminiscent of a classic wing chair. This makes sitting in the Egg Chair a private and relaxing experience, even in public places.

Originally designed for the lobby of a hotel, Arne Jacobsen's intention was to create an armchair with a design that would fit into a high-class environment and at the same time provide privacy in public places. With or without a footstool, it is ideal for reception and waiting areas as well as for the home.

The Egg Chair from Fritz Hansen is available in other versions and colors as well as with a matching footstool.
