The idea for Hee arose from the desire to design an environmentally friendly chair and armchair series whose materials could be easily recycled. By making a piece of furniture from a single material, you avoid environmentally damaging transportation between different production sites, and it also simplifies the recycling process.

The basic idea was to take an archetypal chair as a model and perfect it in every single detail, raising the design up a class, simplifying the structure and improving functionality at the same time. The aim was to create a clear, simple piece of furniture that would fit in many places - modern, but not so time-specific that it could not be used for a long time.

Finding a balance was also crucial in the design. In order to combine functionality and aesthetics at a high level, exactly the right wire thickness had to be chosen. The Hee chairs, the bar stool and the lounge chair are made of 11 mm thick metal wire and their shape is reminiscent of a sketch, a three-dimensional pencil drawing.
