Compact sofa by Hans J. Wegner
The CH72 sofa was already designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1952 and thanks to the new edition by Carl Hansen is now finding its way back into your home. Even back then, the designer was praised for his unique mastery of upholstered furniture and is not considered a Danish design legend for nothing. Its ability to combine aesthetics, functionality and comfort is also evident in the CH72 sofa and the matchingCH71 armchair.
Edgy silhouette and comfortable upholstery
The sofa is characterized by its compact dimensions, which makes it ideal for integrating into small living rooms, but also into the kitchen or hallway. The angular contours give the sofa an almost graphic, sculptural expression, which then as now sets elegant accents. The padded seat shell has a particularly high backrest, so that the user feels gently hugged and safe.
With details made of solid wood
The armrests, which are also padded, provide additional comfort and are equipped with elegantly rounded solid wood handles that add a natural touch. The wood used is picked up again from the legs: they are made from either walnut or oak and are characterized by their slightly tapered shape, which gives the overall appearance a certain lightness.
The sofa is also available in other colors and types of fabric on request.
