The Laccio coffee table design had already been developed by Marcel Breuer in 1925. The table with the characteristic U-shaped frame is also known as a Bauhaus table and has a modern and simultaneously timeless design.
The Laccio coffee table was originally used as a stool, until it finally found its use as a table. The table frame consists of steel tube; a material with which Breuer experimented for years before he used it among other things for the Laccio coffee table. The designer Breuer was fascinated by forming shapes from the endless steel tube and then designed a series of different steel tube furniture pieces.
Breuer wanted to “create instruments for life today” with his designs and especially focused on making his products hygienic and which could be taken apart. The Laccio coffee table meets these demands and has moreover been a high-quality design classic for many years.
The Laccio coffee table top is made out of plastic laminate and available in white, red or black. The round steel tube frame is seamless with a high-gloss chrome. The rectangular Laccio model can moreover be combined with a smaller, square edition of the Laccio coffee table.
