The designer Simon Legald designed a coat rack for Normann Copenhagen. Its clear shape is influenced by industrial design. The functionality is emphasized and the simple construction of frame and board offers a lot of space for clothes, shoes and bags.
The idea behind Toj: Transferring a classic wardrobe outwards. Simon Legald extremely reduced the minimalist construction. A frame, clothes rod, and a deposit board remained. The hole pattern of the board creates a vivid shadows game on the floor. Simon Legald explains: “I wanted to design a clothes rack which would be presentable – a piece of furniture and not only a tube to hang clothes on. Toj fits excellently in many different surroundings, since the form is clear and minimalist. Toj's character is given to it by its owner.”
Toj can be delivered in two sizes with shelf-boards in white or gray.
