With the Masters chair for Kartell, Philippe Starck honors three icons of modern design. The star designer merges different styles into an all-encompassing "master" design.
Masters combines the shapes of three classics: the Series 7 by Arne Jacobsen, the Tulip Armchair by Eero Saarinen and the Eiffel chair by Charles Eames have been reinterpreted in terms of space and time for the Masters . In the Kartell chair they come together in a fascinating and appealing mix of styles: So appealing that the Kartell Masters chair was awarded the Good Design Award in 2010.
Four narrow bars support the spacious and comfortable seat of the Kartell Masters . The specialty of the chair is, of course, its backrest with its remarkable, curvy play of cavities and solid contact points, which is created by the three crossed backrest rods that flow smoothly into the edge of the seat.
The Masters chair by Kartell is available in numerous colors on request.
