Hay's Soft Edge chair impresses with innovative design that provides a high level of seating comfort. Despite its external inconspicuousness, the chair was realized with the help of the latest production techniques. Already in the 50s experimented with the possibilities of conventional veneer, but soon reached its limits. Boris Berlin and Aleksej Iskos - together with Hay - took up this issue again. The result is the Soft Edge chair. An extremely lightweight, stackable and reduced chair that allows "dynamic sitting" with a softly shaped seat and back.

The idea of a rigid sitting posture is absolutely outdated. The way we shaped the seat and back: We deliberately defined not just the front or side, which means you can move. That's what makes the chair so comfortable. Dynamic comfort is the only comfort that is normal for our body. While we are sitting we are moving all the time, it is natural. Easily & stackable

Due to its light weight and stackability, the chair is not only suitable for private use, but also looks great in schools, canteens or conference rooms. The chair is available in a matt lacquered oak version with wooden frame, as well as a dark lacquered model with steel frame.
