The Grand Prix ™ chair by Arne Jacobsen was presented in 1957 at the spring exhibition of Danish arts and crafts at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Copenhagen by Fritz Hansen . In the same year, the chair was shown at the Milan Triennale, where it received the highest award at the fair - the Grand Prix . Since then it has been called the Grand Prix™ chair.
Originally, the Grand Prix chair was offered with a wooden and steel frame. Today, it is available with a chrome-plated steel frame as standard and is an ideal multipurpose chair for canteens, conference rooms, offices and living areas.
Lightweight and stackable, it is available on request in various colors and types of wood or upholstered in fabric or leather. The Grand Prix chair is also available in three different heights and with a satin chrome-plated or black lacquered base.
