Chair with braided linen fabric
The 611 chair was designed by the Finnish designer Alvar Aalto in 1929, whose designs have lost none of their Nordic charm to this day. As one of the first modern furniture designs by the Finn, the chair 611 has been in constant production since its creation and is today produced and distributed by Artek.
A seat and backrest made of woven linen fabric give the chair its unmistakable appearance, which is reminiscent of traditional weaving techniques. Together with the straight-lined frame made of light birch wood, the chair convinces with its natural, high-quality shape, which blends perfectly into any ambience.
