Stool with tubular steel frame

The Pavilion Bar stool from & tradition was in its actual form as a chair for the Langelinie Pavilion designed in Copenhagen. The event building was rebuilt in 1958, after its destruction during the 2. World War, by the architect couple Eva and Niels Koppel and built as a homage to modernity.

Borrowings of modernity are also found in the design of the by Anderssen & Voll designed Pavilion Bar stools again. Its frame consists of slender, bent steel tubes, which provide for an airy, light overall appearance. The designer duo emphasizes: "Tube chairs had their beginnings in early modernism, but they were usually constructed at fixed angles. We wanted to explore a more open construction, a freer form of expression." Anderssen & Full
