XL Cushion in iconic Knot shape
Knot XL by Ragnheidur Sigursdottir for Design House Stockholm is a fantasy shape that draws its inspiration from knot making and knitting, exploring sculptural forms rather than ordinary patterns. The original Knot -cushion was created partly from an attempt to make legs for a teddy bear instead of crocheting them, and became a homely work of art. The XL -version is even more: a new seat that adapts to everyone and a perfect way to sit at the same height as the very youngest children.
You can lean against Knot XL lean against it, sit on the cushion, relax on it and sit with your Knot XL break up hierarchies when you talk. The cushion replaces or complements any sofa or lounge chair, is a relaxed piece of furniture at home, in a lively office and in any informal public space. And when not in use, the cushion can be used as decoration in the room. You can even use it for yoga, one of Ragnheidur's personal favorites.
"You don't really know what it is when you first look at it, it gives you the opportunity to use your imagination! It's partly influenced by pop art, by pop-ups, it looks like a sculpture, but a sculpture with function. That's what design should be: playful, comfortable, well-built and something that makes you smile."
