Fashionable poster with a silhouette of a woman in black clothes
The Black Pants Poster by Amelie Hegardt for Paper Collective shows a woman with black hair and black clothes. The special feature is the implied coat in the same colour of the background, which was not drawn, but is only visible through the silhouette of the woman and the absence of shapes. Exciting and discreet at the same time, the motif thus blends well into any living space.
Black Pants is one of three artworks from a series of commissioned works for the British Fashion Council in 201 8. Swedish artist Amelie Hegardt was asked to interpret the SS18 collection by three British designers Georgia Hardinge, Katherine Hamnett and Mother of Pearl. The originals can be seen at the Museo ABC in Madrid.
