Modern glass oil lamp
The Fyr Oil lamp from Design House Stockholm has said goodbye to filigree jewelry and presents a new interpretation by Johan Larsvall. A sensual source of light that can be appreciated all year round. "I wanted to create a modern version of the classic oil lamp, which has not evolved for more than a century," says Johan Larsvall. "I reduced it to its basic forms: the cylinder attached to a slender waist and expanding to a cone-shaped base."
The Fyr oil lamp has a stately cone-shaped base, a sturdy waist for the cylindrical wick and a cylindrical glass funnel for the burning flame. The strong but slender knob adjusts the flame and tilts the lamp for transport. The fully transparent glass base shows the remaining lamp oil level and allows you to control the winding movement when turning the knob.
