With a keen sense of contemporary, functionalist style, Danish architect and designer Mogens Lassen created the iconic Kubus Candleholder in 196 2. Inspired by the Bauhaus style, it is characterized Kubus by a precise geometry, where nothing is left to chance.
Kubus In different sizes
The Kubus Candlestick was originally intended as a small series of individual pieces for Mogens Lassen's family and close friends. However, experimentation with shapes and functions resulted in a collection of products that today have achieved the status of modern design icons among architects and design connoisseurs. Kubus Is available in different sizes and accordingly for a different number of candles: Kubus 8 represents the largest of the candlesticks with dimensions 23x23 cm and space for 8 candles. It harmonizes perfectly with the smaller versions for 4 candles or for 1 candle.
Danish craftsmanship
Even today, the Audo candlesticks, made of lacquered or copper-coated steel, are produced by skilled craftsmen. Kubus 8 candlesticks are still made by experienced craftsmen in Holstebro, Denmark, and thus represent true Danish craftsmanship.
