The Componibili of Kartell were already designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri in 1969 and are today among the most famous designs of the Italian manufacturer. The containers can be placed in all areas of the house: in the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and living room as well as in the children's room. The Componibili are design classics with decades of tradition, which have gained much recognition for the conciseness and innovation of their design and have long since rolled into the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre George Pompidou in Paris.
With the Bio version Kartell presents the iconic classic with a completely new material concept and thus moves with the times. The Componibili 5970 with a height of 58.5 cm and a diameter of 32 cm has three drawers and is available in different colours.
The Componibili Bio is made entirely from BIO-ON bioplastics. The natural plastic is 100% biodegradable and is obtained from vegetable waste. The plastic is therefore one of the renewable raw materials. Technically not a plastic, the bioplastic has the same properties and thermomechanical characteristics as plastic due to the addition of micro-organisms and is therefore easy to process in production.
The Componibili Bio are part of the project " Kartell loves the planet". The project aims to improve best practices through sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of the production process. All raw materials used in " Kartell loves the planet" products are fully recyclable and can be reused in new products.
