Minimalist wall clock classic from Denmark
Arne Jacobsen is probably the most famous Danish architect and designer. Legendary interior designs made Jacobsen famous far beyond the borders of Denmark.
The company Rosendahl has acquired the rights for the re-production of Arne Jacobsen's most famous wall clocks and has now reissued them in 100% accordance with the original designs and in meticulous collaboration with Teit Weylandt. Teit Weylandt was involved in the product development of Arne Jacobsen's design studio for a long time and paid attention to every detail during the re-production of the clocks: "No stone was left unturned: the hands, the case, the shape of the lens - we went through everything..."
The result is three legendary classic watches that originally adorned buildings in Denmark:
AJ City Hall Wall Clock
The City Hall wall clock was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1956 for the Rødovre City Hall. It captivates by its simplicity, because the abstract dial shows the number of hours by strokes and the minutes in dots.
All AJ watches from Rosendahl uniquely embody an interesting cross-section of modernism in the design of Arne Jacobsen over a period of 30 years. The cases of the watches are made of aluminum and mineral glass. The movement comes from Japan and is powered by an AA battery ( 1. 5 V).
