The Mini Unikko slippers from Marimekko are made from organic cotton terrycloth and guarantee comfort and sustainability. The rubber sole ensures durability and the slippers are available in three different sizes to suit different foot sizes.
Unikko was invented by Maija Isola in 1964 and has become a global symbol of print design. Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko , initially believed that it was unachievable to reproduce the true essence of real flowers in print, which led to the exclusion of floral prints from the Marimekko collections. As a result, Isola designed Unikko as a floral abstraction rather than a photorealistic representation. Today, Unikko is a vibrant symbol of joy and creativity that is seamlessly woven into the design identity of Marimekko .
