Christmas decorations from Alessi
The Christmas figurines from A di Alessi spread the Christmas spirit and bring the classic porcelain and Christmas figurines closer to the modern world. The idea for these lovely figurines came about as part of a study in the 1990s: Modern technology was to be used to revive the traditional porcelain figurines from Europe in the late 1 8. century and transport them into the 2 1. century.
The comic artist Massimo Giacon is responsible for the designs of the Christmas figurines. With a great deal of humor and a characteristic comic style, Giacon and A di Alessi have given the porcelain figurines a new direction, overcoming the functionless and dusty image that is often attached to porcelain figurines today.
Every single one of the A di Alessi Christmas figurines is hand-decorated and creates a Christmassy atmosphere without appearing antiquated.
