Playful table lamp
Binic is a small table lamp with a vivid design and is available in six different colours. The lamp by Foscarini was designed by the French designer Ionna Vautrin.
For Binic, Ionna Vautrin was inspired by her region of origin of Brittany, its sea and seafaring tradition. The main inspiration for the small lamp was given by the wind cones of the boats. The word Binic itself is the term for a lighthouse on the coast in Brittany.
Table lamp with soft light
Binic might be small but it has a strong personality. With its pleasant, poetic and a little caricature-like form, it irresistibly attracts all attention. Binic projects a soft light that resembles a private lighthouse, downwards at an angle. The light does not shine directly from the lighting element, but it is muted by a plate.
Material
Binic possesses an aluminium base and a polycarbonate shade. The upper round volume with a glossy surface and a satined cone base seems to defy gravity. Despite this, Binic is completely stable because the weight difference is only a visual effect.
Colours
The designer Ionna Vautrin designed a range of six colours for Binic, thereby offering a wider dimension to the lamp. White, green, red, orange, petrol, grey:
A wide range of colour tone for a designer product, so that it can be integrated into every furnishing style, but especially to suit the personality of those who selected Binic. Binic imparts empathy and features an independent character. As a gift idea or for personal use, Binic is affordable and versatile: a real “take away” product or “love at first sight”, as the young designer Ionna Votrain would say.
